Made in Germany! The NTA-certified Pector ME-1 helmet is equipped with the MIPS Brain Protection System and offers maximum protection. The Fit System with BOA® System and the Fidlock® closure ensure a precise fit.

It is one of the world’s safest and most comfortable mountain bike helmets, because it complies with the NTA 8776 standard for S-pedelecs and e-bikes. Therefore, it can absorb significantly more impact energy than conventional bike helmets.

KED can do much more than just build colourful and well made bike helmets for children. The Pector is a well-fitting and protective functional package. The size intervals and indications are exactly right. Size 52-58 fits perfectly on heads with a circumference of up to 58cm. The fit is excellent and suitable for both oval and round head shapes. At 350g, the helmet is right in the normal weight range. Thanks to the BOA system it can be safely positioned and fixed on the head. The integrated MIPS moves smoothly in the helmet shell without pressing on the fastening points. At the back of the head, the shell extends far down towards the neck and protects against injuries in case of an accident. Furthermore, the Pector features 14 ventilation openings, which have been positioned throughout the entire helmet shell area. From a purely aesthetic point of view, this MTB and trail helmet is on a par with models of the same price category. Only the round visor could do with a slightly sportier and edgier look. Completing the package is the magnetic fidlock closure of the chin strap.

The Boa^® system has been seamlessly integrated into our 360° head ring for maximum comfort. With ingeniously simple one-handed operation, fine adjustment can be made even while riding. The Boa® System guarantees a secure and perfect fit in all situations.

FIDLOCK^®
Fidlock^® technology makes closing the harness buckle even easier. Thanks to the combination of magnetic force and mechanical latching, the Fidlock^® buckle closes virtually automatically and can be operated with just one hand. Unintentional pinching of the skin is impossible. At the same time, the closures are highly reliable, robust and secure.

MIPS^®
The EPS inner shell of the KED helmets provides maximum impact absorption in case of a fall. The MIPS system offers an additional safety feature by reducing the rotational forces acting on the brain. The low-friction shell of the MIPS system allows for 10-15 mm of sliding in all directions at an oblique angle of impact.
